Buying at Our Auction
Auctions can seem a little daunting at first, but at Beccles Auctions you’ll find a friendly, approachable, and experienced team ready to put you at ease. We want you to enjoy your visit to our auction rooms and feel confident every step of the way. Whether you’re attending for the very first time or you’re a seasoned auction‑goer, we’re always happy to answer your questions and help you get the very best from our auctions.
Never Been to an Auction Before?
If you’ve never been to an auction before, it’s probably a good idea to just drop in on one of our viewing days and have a look at the selection of items we have coming up for auction and generally get a feel for what happens. If you have any questions about the auction process and bidding online via our Timed Online Auctions, please don’t be afraid to ask.
Where Can I Find Your Items Online?
All items in our sales are offered through timed online auctions hosted on Easy Live Auction, and bidding is quick and easy once you’ve registered directly with them. You can view all of our current and upcoming auctions at easyliveauction.com. Each auction runs online for approximately two weeks and showcases every lot with detailed descriptions, images, and an estimated sale price. Please note that estimates are intended as a guide only — final prices will depend on the level of interest once bidding gets underway.
Best of all, you can bid wherever you are: from the comfort of your own home, during a quiet moment at work (we won’t tell!), or even while relaxing overseas. Anywhere with an internet connection is your front‑row seat to the auction.
When Can I View the Items?
You are welcome to view items in person during the week prior to the auction’s end date. If you’re unable to attend during our scheduled viewing times, private viewings can be arranged where possible.
For those who cannot visit in person, condition reports and additional images are available upon request. These can be requested directly through Easy Live Auction or by emailing us. Please note that it is the responsibility of all prospective bidders to satisfy themselves as to the condition of any lot before placing a bid, either by viewing in person or making appropriate enquiries.

What are your Charges?
Each Lot is subject to a Buyers Premium of 20% plus VAT and in addition an Easy Live Auction charge of 3% plus VAT on the hammer price (27.6% inclusive of VAT). For example, if you purchase an item for £100, the total amount payable is £127.60 and an item purchased for £50 will be £63.80.
I've Won an Item! What do I do Next?
Once you have successfully purchased your Lots, you will need to pay and arrange to have your items collected. You can pay via the online link / invoice you will receive from EasyLive Auction, in person with a personal debit card, cash, or by bank transfer. We do not accept credit cards, business debit cards, international debit cards or cheque payments.
We can only take payment from customers over the telephone if they are known to us.
If you are collecting in person, our opening hours are Monday-Friday between 9.00am-4.00pm and every Saturday morning between 9.00am-12noon. Please call to let us know you are coming in as we can have all of your items ready and waiting for you.
Please make sure you collect your lots as soon as possible, as after 5 working days, storage charges of £2 plus VAT (£2.40 inclusive of VAT) per lot per day will apply to any goods that have not been collected unless a prior arrangement has been made with us.
Can I Get My Items Sent to Me?
We do not provide a packing or shipping service therefore all buyers will need to make their own arrangements. Our recommended couriers are:
